"Hamburger Spanish Rice is a favorite busy-day dish for Bernice Morris of Marshfield, Missouri. 'Even though we're retired, I often work on crafts or paint right up to mealtime,' reports Bernice."
"This is my mom's seasoned rice recipe and is a main dish that is delicious with cornbread, black-eyed peas and turnip greens. It tastes even better when it's been refrigerated overnight and reheated!"
ground beef, canned corn, rice, garlic powder, green pepper, ketchup, onions, salt, vegetable oil, water
"'Not everyone in the family cared for Spanish rice until they tried this hearty version,' says Sylvia Wallace of Adams, New York. 'Now instead of complaints, I hear, 'More, please'.'"

DH wanted spanish rice one night so I made the following recipe that I got from Betty Crocker. OMG, it was just like eating my mom's. I forgot how good her spanish rice was!!! Try it, you won't be disappointed!!! Serve as a meal in its self or as a side dish.
A throw-it-together and pop it in the oven supper. Use more chili powder or add hot sauce if you really want to spice it up!I just want to add: Many people who have tried this recipe have had to cook it longer than I have specified. A hint: I always use a casserole dish with a heavy tight-fitting lid. I sometimes presoak my rice in cold water for 10 minutes or so. Hope this helps! =) BarbPS...To Freeze : Cool, portion and freeze in a ziploc bag.To reheat: Thaw, place in a covered casserole dish and bake until heated through.
My neighbour gave me this recipe as we were renovating the kitchen and I didn?t have an oven for 6 months. I cooked everything outside on the BBQ and luckily I had a Wok burner connected to the BBQ. This dish is very easy and very yummy. I think Arroz con Pollo means ?Rice with Chicken? in Spanish. Enjoy we did
artichoke, bay leaves, beans, chicken, chicken broth, tomato, garlic, green pepper, vegetable oil, onions, red pepper, rice, salt, turmeric
I got this recipe from my MIL. It's a staple in our house. Its very good and very easy. You can play with the amount of rice, just remember to the water is double whatever amount of rice you use and don't lift the lid to peek before its done.
This is a really good Mexican rice recipe. I thought my kids would never want anything but the "Spanish Rice" that comes in a box, but as they grew their tastes matured too, thank goodness! I like to use fresh raw peas and corn kernels when possible. Try this, I think you'll like it! UPDATE: Thanks to my Zaar friends Rita and Paula, I've edited my mistake in the amount of broth originally posted to 3 1/2 cups.
broth, carrot, corn, cumin, chili powder, garlic, green pepper, olive oil, onions, oregano, peas, rice, tomato
Festive, zippy rice. Goes good with any main dish.
I wanted a quick Spanish Rice side dish one night, to go along side a spicy chicken I was making, so I came up with this simple yummy dish.
